Taikyoku Kata is required for beginners and is also practiced by all ranks to continue the learning process for good Kihon (BASICS). This Kata teaches good stances (Dachi), body movement (Tai Sabaki), blocking (uke), striking (Tsuki) and most of all focus (Kime). Heian Katas are requiered as students advance, learning Heian 1-5.
 
Tai Sabaki Kata are Ryobu-Kai Kata and were developed by Konishi Sensei, the founder of Shindo Jinen Ryu Karate-Jitsu.


 
Suna Kake No Kon
is a bo Kata which means to flick the sand. It is taught at blue belt level. This video is done slow for training puposes.
